Music is a wonderful gift . . . especially Christmas carols that have been sung for years, but forever moving and special. The message is so powerful and as we attempt to put our finite minds around the idea of Immanuel, there is one song that seems uniquely powerful in helping me "see" what God has given to the world - "O Holy Night" is my favorite. During this past season we heard this song on two separate and special occasions: The GR Youth Symphonic Choir, which Jackie conducts, sang an arrangement that is uniquely beautiful and a few days later Jackie and Maria sang "O Holy Night" together at their church service which we attended.Praise to God for music that enhances the message of Christmas - Immanuel. The added blessing of hearing our child and grandchild sing of this gift together is very special, indeed.
